Philippians 2:1-5

(Philippians 2:1-5) If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,  Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

 

The heart of Christ Jesus is to have one heart, to be faithful, not to quarrel or vanity, to humble oneself, to take care of the work of others to fill my joy.
『Holding one heart』 means that the heart between saints will be one. The reason Jesus came to this world also died in the ransom for reconciliation between God and sinners. In Matthew 18:15-20『Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.  But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.  Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. 』 The Bible explains how the sovereignty and power of the kingdom of God works when we are one among the saints. This means that if two or three people from the people of God's kingdom gather and seek the things of God's kingdom, the power of God's kingdom will be given and its power will appear.

 

『Without a fight or vanity』. It is to do it with a pure heart. Express the pure heart with the fragrance of Christ. 2 Corinthians 2:14-17『Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?  For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. 』

 

God gave the Holy Spirit to those who are in Christ, and we can know through the fragrance of Christ to know if we have the Holy Spirit. Those who are in Christ have the fragrance of Christ. Those in Christ must have the fragrance of Christ, and what is the fragrance of Christ?

 

『For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:  (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 』(Ephesians 5:8-9) Those in Christ received the Holy Spirit, and that is why God gave it『This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.  For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 』 (Galatians 5:16-17)

 

The work of lowering oneself is to become a little Jesus. Jesus humbled himself and came into the world as a sinner. Philippians 2:6-8『Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 』 In Genesis, God humbled and tested Joseph. He was lowered and tried by his brothers. In this way, the way of salvation is found. Salvation is the discovery of God's presence. Joseph is sold to Potiphar's house, accused of Potiphar's wife, and he is put in prison. But he realizes that God is with him. Lowering is the way to salvation. To lower it is to deny self. Sin means that the old man is forgiven only if he dies. So the blood of Jesus applies to the dead of the old man.

 

『Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 』 Repentance represents the death of an old man. Confession of sin is only partially correct, not all. To be all, we have to be united with Jesus who died on the cross, and our old people must be crucified together.

 

God does not dwell in those who live for him. Only God is with those who have died of old and have been reborn as spiritual bodies. He is with the Holy Spirit in the resurrection life. Receiving prayer is an amazing grace that God allows only those who are born again. God is saying, "I will be with you," to the old and dead. God is holy, so he is not with sinners. So, God is not in this world of sin. God is with only those who are born again, called saints, and through them through the kingdom of God.

 

『Take care of the work of others and fill my joy』 This is to find the lost spirit. In Matthew 28:19-20『Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. 』 God's mission is to achieve eternal kingship. Therefore, Christ received the rulership and commission of the King of Kings, so no matter how strong the Devil's history, victory is with Christ. Jesus seems to have failed in human eyes, but the death and resurrection for the sins of all people began to completely destroy the devils who conquered the world. Jesus said to make disciples of all nations. The work of baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit conquers Satan. For, even if a person who cannot escape the power of the Devil from sin, when he enters into Jesus Christ and is baptized, he will be completely given the power of the children of God. Saving the lost spirit is God's will and full of joy.
