Philippians 2:6-8
(Philippians 2:6-8)
『Who, being in the form of God,
thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But
made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was
made in the likeness of men: And
being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto
death, even the death of the cross. 』
Jesus Christ is God in the kingdom of God. We cannot see God. When a sinner
sees God, he dies. Because humans are guilty. Although we cannot see the sun
directly with our eyes, the Lord has come in the flesh as we can see wearing
sunglasses. We can see the Lord in the flesh because of the flesh. Humans
cannot see God unless the Lord comes in the flesh.
The Lord is
the body and image of God. We may or may not stand before the Lord who saves
Lazarus. Right now, in front of the storm of life, the Lord can reveal,
"Yeah, I can solve the storm." "I want you to repent and obey
with all your heart through this storm." However, there is always a Lord
you can meet. He is the Christ of the Cross, who humbled himself and obeyed him
to death. There is no disagreement. There is always a Lord who can always be
seen.
Where am I
standing? Are you standing in front of the Lord who can solve the storm? Or do
you stand before the Lord, "It is the Lord who gave me the storm of my
life, so he is trying to make me a man who repents wholeheartedly and obeys the
Lord"? The Lord wants to solve the storm on my side, and He is the Lord
standing in the storm. In the book of Job, Job says, "I don't know why
this difficulty came to me." But more and more Job realizes, ``I know that
the Lord is not with me now, but the Lord is standing on my other side in the
pain of my life.'' It was repentance that the Lord gave Job.
Job regretted
being misunderstood by his friends. Friends who criticized Job said, "God
gives trouble because Job was wrong." Job cannot accept this. Whether or
not Job's friend was right or wrong, the Lord wanted Job to repent first. No
matter who we collide with, whether it's wrong or wrong, it's not the Lord's
will, but the Lord wants repentance. This is the right way for the Bible.
The Lord has
never tried to change Laban and Esau has never changed. The Lord strikes
Jacob's nature, body, and its gratitude. No matter what circumstances we pray
for or whatever, we must discern which side the Lord is on. In chapter 1, Job
thought he was the one who left evil and was pure. He prayed for his child.
God allowed
Satan to suffer for Job. However, before chapter 1 ends, Satan kills Job's
children. Was Job imagining it? What the Lord told Job was, "I'm not with
your worship. If you pray for your child, I take your child." Who will
accept this Lord? Most of them do not want to see Job 1. Even though Job was
perfect, God did it. However, we always think that the Lord is on my side even
though we are imperfect, selfish, and inconsistent. Everyone thinks he is the
main character. Everyone thinks it is Jacob, not Laban, not Esau. This is
blind.
If I am
Jacob, the Lord will break me and make me. This means that we are like Laban
who noblely deceive themselves, crying for others and intercessing. I think
there is nothing to change. I think everything is right. That means I am Esau.
Isn't that what we worship today shows the image of Esau? If the Lord has
interposed me between Laban and Esau, it is I who the Lord will strike. Who am
I today? Are we intercessing for those like Laban and Esau? Or am I not trying
to break at all? This is the Pharisee's lie.
If I am
Jacob, the Lord will destroy me. The Lord gives the Philippian Church the
understanding through Paul. Paul did not seek the Lord of power. He focuses
only on the crucified Lord. Paul came to see the third heaven and did not ask
again. In Damascus, he saw the image of the Lord of glory with his body and
heard the voice of the Lord of glory. He heard the voice of the Lord on the
postal throne. But he didn't ask for more. Those who seek a greater experience
of the Holy Spirit by experiencing the Holy Spirit are unrepentant evidence.
For they seek the Holy Spirit more than the cross.
Anyone who
accepts that Jesus died because of me only looks at the crucified Jesus. No
matter what revelation, blessings, and powers we have in this world until the
Lord returns, or until we die, there is no more thrill than Jesus who died for
me. No blessing, no happiness, no success, nothing before the Lord. Jesus, the
Son of God, gave up heaven and experienced hell on the cross. Knowing that it
is because of me is the beginning of repentance. If there is repentance, look
for Jesus who died on the cross, not the Holy Spirit.
The standard
of people is the Holy Spirit. People want to experience the joy of the Holy
Spirit and gifts in the church. This is evidence of the unrepentant. Are we
coming out to fill the church with something? Or does it come out empty? Those
who seek the Holy Spirit come out to fill, but we must come out empty. If you
knew that the crucified Jesus was crucified for me, what would you fill in
before him? Jesus emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, lowering him
to death and submitting it. Paul explains that there is only this in the
Philippi church. Paul is not looking for the Lord of Glory he met in Damascus,
but for the Lord of the Cross.
Today, many
churches are actually going into trouble. There are many more martyrs today
than the Roman Empire. There is, of course, a reason for the high density of
the population, but it is worldwide. Where is the Lord? The Lord will be in the
field of suffering and martyrdom because of Jesus. In Matthew 25, Jesus said,
"You did not come to me when I was naked and sick and in prison. You have
not given favor to the very small. The very small one is the Lord. It is said
that the Lord is with the very small and the unseen. Only those who know what
to do with such people are thrilled with the crucified Christ. The cross is not
a springboard for the Holy Spirit. Rather, the Holy Spirit reveals "The
Crucified Christ."
