Philippians 4:1-7

(Philippians 4:1-7)

Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.  I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life. Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord Here, Eudia and Sunduge are presumed to be two female deacons who served the Philippi church like a pillar. Since Paul, who was far away from the Roman prison, knew the names of these two men, they would have been influential women leaders in the Philippi Church. However, the conflict between the two was shaking the Philippi church. The members of Philippi Church were also caught up in this conflict and their hearts were shaking and their faith was shaking. So, in order to resolve this conflict, Paul is saying to have the same heart in the Lord first. The best way to avoid conflict is to share their hearts in Christ. It is "to kill one's heart, and to do all things only with the heart of Christ."

Rejoice in the Lord alway The church of Philippi confronted each other and had conflict, so the members' hearts were depressed. In order to relieve this atmosphere, Paul exhorted Rejoice in the Lord alway. The word "in the Lord" means that through Christ, everyone becomes one, and through Christ, salvation is achieved, and this makes them happy. In fact, Paul was enjoying that joy. Paul was imprisoned. He doesn't know when he will die. Still, he said he was happy.

Paul said, "Let your moderation be known unto all men." Here, the word moderation comes from the Greek word "epiekes", which comes from the verb "eiko", "to give up." So the word moderation means generosity and thoughtful consideration for others based on concessions. In this desperate crisis situation, Philippi Church made each other's claim. There was no attitude to think about the other person's position or to give way at all. So it was harder.

"The Lord is at hand" means that the Lord will soon come and judge for himself. So it means to think eschatologically. When we can tolerate one another, we can build up a swaying church.Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God .
Jesus said,
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? "The key to the concern is that it is faith.
In Matthew 10:28,
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. This is the faith of the repentant who is saved.

Repentance and faith, faith and regeneration, justification and sanctification are inseparable. But why do people speak as if they were separated? It is because those who deviate from the saved faith look at it. It has the same meaning as the faith in the book of Revelation or the faith in the Gospel of Matthew.

In Matthew 10:28, the Jews are afraid of men and not of the Lord. Only those who fear the Lord are saved. Those who say that they believe in the Lord and fear more than the Lord must repent. The salvation of God and the fear of man more than God cannot be together. Salvation and anxiety cannot be together. When faith in salvation comes in, anxiety is about to go out. It is a lie to say, "I was saved in anxiety." This means that light and darkness cannot be combined. When light comes in, darkness goes out.

If the Lord is with us, it will be heaven everywhere, but without the Lord, it will be hell. We really have to think about whether we are the only ones who hold onto Jesus Christ. Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. "We shouldn't be afraid or discouraged by anything. All we have to do is obey the Lord. In verse 31, Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. "The person who is afraid is the owner.

The peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus . This is the saying, "When we pray, God's peace will be filled in us." And it means that God's peace will keep our hearts and minds. When we pray, the Lord is with us, and when we realize it, our anxiety and fear disappear.
